Haven't looked into it enough to make a decision.
One thing I did notice is they said HBO is reimbursable by insurance. Sure as blazes better be at $200 per session and patients requiring between 10-40 sessions. Yeesh! Still, that's a huge initial out-of-pocket expense before reimbursement. I can only imagine price-gouging as the reason the per-session cost is so *bleep*-ing high.

The first site is partially a Dr. Levin thing. He's far far alternative. Look out for the other site. That's William fife. Also endorses MMS, Marshal, collidal silver, rifing, etc etc etc. Read an article by Fife: www.chroniclymedisease.com/All I am saying is proceed with caution. You do what you think is right for you, just be an informed consumer is all I ask. I understand that Dr. Katz, Yale Neurologist, highly recommended, an LLMD who is not ILADS (but reportedly goes to their meetings) was going to do a study on HBOT in Lyme a few years ago. I have been completely unable to find anything regarding this study. One would think that IF he found benefit from it that, he would have published. Still looking for evidence of his findings, if any. I remain skeptical until then. Not to say HBOT isn't good for some things. They used it on House, so you KNOW its real. Editing to mention Fife is NOT a doctor, he is a Ph.D. by the way

As far as I knew, HBOT was beneficial in helping diabetics heal wounds and was used to dissolve the "bends," but has not been proven effective against anything else.
My local Lymie contact stopped talking to me after she informed me that she and her family purchased a HBOT chamber for their home and I shared my reservations on the matter (there is also apparently a "traveling Lyme doctor" who visits Nevada every so often and offers HBOT). My "friend" has not yet called back with any "I told you so," so for now I'm just going to assume the purchase was a waste of money.
The fact that so many "alternavistas" swear by it also takes its credibility down a notch for me; my judgment may be wholly undue ... but I suppose time will tell.

I read an article somewhere that HBO was being researched for treating diseases, and Lyme was one of them. The Lyme bugs don't like oxygen, right? It makes sense to me that putting more oxygen in your system might help.
