Okay ... so I'm looking over the LDA's 2006 tax return ( www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2006/223/123/2006-223123551-03197fcc-9.pdf) and I have a couple of questions someone else here might be able to answer (forgive my ignorance): 1) Why did the LDA spend over $50,000 on PR (compare that to their $19,000 contribution to LymeAid for Kids). Do they really need to pay a company for PR, with all the volunteers and word of mouth PR they get? 2) Why did the LDA donate over $30,000 to doctors, one of whom was 2000 IDSA Lyme guideline coauthor Ben Luft? |

So, Luft also happened to be the IDSA chair around that time....
Why didn't the LDA offer that $20,000+ grant, instead, to ... say, Stricker, or some other ILADS member just aching to do some research? Why an IDSA man? Why?
