I've had family in town ... and then my nephew gave me a cold. I've also had a lot of writing projects keeping me busy.
How have you been?

Still around. Not much to report tho.
Feeling pretty good, albeit tired, achy, and neuro-y. But still don't feel 'sick', which I suppose is a great improvement over where I had been. Still not on any meds and it's been slightly over 2 months now.
Research on various fronts has taken a back seat to holiday madness. Will be so glad when all this nonsense is over.
Sincerely, Your Grinch-in-residence

I am off for Christmas but working friday. Feeling so so in general, cannot get through the day (pain-wise) without two Tramadols! Still waiting for results from the last big deal infectious disease doc I saw (see him again Jan 6)
Seeing a Neuro Opthamologist today(Christmas Eve). Made the medical deductable this year - more than 7% of my gross income went to uncovered medical expenses so at LEAST I get to deduct it!

I know I'm a little late in replying. I'm glad the holidays are over.
I just didn't feel like participating this year-but I did in a rather superficial, automatic mode.
I'm on vacation for two weeks. Take away any form of schedule and I get lost. I also used the time off to see what meds I could go off.
Found out the hard way that Keppra is a mood stabalizer-so I'm keeping that, although it's primarily an anti convulsant.
Now I just found out we are having New Year's Day Dinner here, so I better go straighten up.
Have a good one. I'm in a weird head lately-ugh.

I'm so glad the holidays are over. We still haven't put up the tree, yet, but I'll be glad to have that gone, too. I was able to get a little more holiday spirit than I did last year, but catching that cold really put a damper on the tail-end of the season.
My twin sister has grown increasingly ill, and it is clear to me that she is going through the same diagnostic hell I went through just a few years ago. Her biggest complaints are joint pain and gastroparesis. I keep telling her to save her money; diagnostics don't go very far, for people like us. She still wants more answers, and I don't blame her, but I fear that all she has ahead of her are more questions, if she keeps looking. She doesn't spend much time online, or I would insist she post here.
She has a nearby friend who has been diagnosed with Lyme and babesia, but her friend's only symptoms, which are getting really bad, are Parkinson's-like (she's the one who gave sis the raw goat's milk); IMHO, the woman has been misdiagnosed by an overzealous "LLMD," and should be tested for brucellosis and bartonella....

Well,I'm happy so far today-watching the Ravens in playoffs, then heading back to work after break.
I full of good intentions-my latest is to get more natural sunlight each day. Since I don't work until afternoons I can get some fresh air and sunshine in the morning (late morning!).
I am also trying not to wear my sunglasses so much since I read that sunlight regulates our body rythyms for night and day. I'm still hung up on this ambien dependency- I don't know if it is physical or mental dependency.
Back to the game for me. Cheers to a New Year.

You don't want to contribute to macular degeneration; sunglasses are the best defense against it.
