I try. I really do try. And this year I thought I had it all together. The only thing that baffled me was why the giblets on the back burner didn't come to a boil. I got the answer when I pulled the ice bucket out of the freezer and put it on the front burner. The thing I love most about Thanksgiving (besides the day after) is the smell of roasting turkey. The smell of burnt plastic isn't nearly as good-in fact it's downright horrible. Oh well. Try cleaning melted plastic off an electric coil.

Happy belated Thanksgiving!
We had one of my sisters, and her son, over; kept things small. I was under the weather last week....

Happy belated and all that.
We ended up going to the in-laws and stuffing ourselves. Oh, the carnage! It wasn't pretty. Turkey parts flying, dollops of mashed potatoes flung wontonly, light reflecting in pools of gravy dropped on the tablecloth. Have I mentioned they're a fun, yet slighly uncivilized, crowd?
Came home and fell into food comas.

I just can't eat like that anymore ... gastroparesis and full stomachs are not a good mix. Glad you all had a nice holiday.
