Every four weeks I have a manic/OCD phase. I spent this month trying to decide if I wanted to do the Cowden protocol. So I did all this research. Probably little of this is news to you here, but I thought it might be helpful for folks on other boards, which I never joined. You got a lot further than I did ... as soon as I got about half-way through the list, finding that many of the herbs, at least under the names used, were only available through Nutramedix, I decided the protocol was not for me.
I found the price to be downright ridiculous, and several of the herbs to be unnecessary or unproven; recommendation that I go on the protocol was the last straw, when it came to dropping my LLMD. I felt (and this is just my personal opinion) that the recommendation was unprofessional ... first he tells me I need to be on a cocktail of antibiotics for only God knows how long, and then, when the antibiotics only take me so far within a six-month period, he wants to put me on a $500.00 a month herbal protocol? Kind of made me lose faith in "Lyme literacy," altogether....
