I have e-mailed with the doctor involved in this case, and I am pretty satisfied that this is legit. If you have the extra to donate, you might want to consider this cause.
If anyone feels that there are any red flags I have missed (and that is always possible), please let me know. According to the Texas state department involved, the state Attorney General may be able to offer some course of research (the department involved cannot). I may follow through with that, myself, despite the information available.
Always research before donating anywhere ... but if you find a cause worth donating to, and you have the extra, please contribute what you can.
