Probably BOTH... So as long as people are reminded and give pause to consider the possibility (of Lyme being the cause of their misery) and those that are infected get helped...

Yeah, those were kind of my thoughts on the matter, too....

What would be interesting is if they do long-term follow-up studies on patients going through the clinic. Would love to see the results of something like that. Don't care if they call it post-lyme syndrome or chronic lyme - just wondering how many people continue to be symptomatic, even after the IDSA treatment.
Probably not making sense. Had 2 hour's sleep. Ugh.

Well, we have plenty of proof showing that BOTH chronic lyme and post lyme are possible.
Wormser, I wouldn't trust him to run a flea circus. Honestly, I really wouldn't.
However, my prediction is that they are poised to say Lyme is a really bad disease again, and they are going to use this whole political thing to their advantage to get funding again.
When it happens, you cancome back and tell me I was right. I think they are going to try to make an OSP C vaccine, and in order to do that, they IDSA will have to admit that the disease is worse than thought.
The IDSA gang just positioned a paper on OSP C and its virilence. Sweegy wrote about long term treatment for whipples.
Following that was the paper that a whipple's patient relapsed after 36 months of abx.
What do you want to bet they will not change the guidelines but ADD to them, saying that in some people it is a chronic disease, but that there is no treatment...which is only a re-word of what they are saying now
Because then, people will know that they need a vaccine for a chronic disease that doesn't respond to treatment.
