Ok. A man has a rowboat for hire to cross a river. One day he is hired to bring a wolf, a goat, and a basket of cabbages across the river. But his boat is only big enough to carry one item at a time. This creates a problem. If he takes the wolf over, the goat will eat the cabbages. If he takes the cabbages, the wolf will eat the goat. Of course he could take the goat, but when he came back for the next item, the trip would result in something being eaten as he went back for the third item.
So how did he get all three things across the river with nothing being eaten?

Good one, thanks, I will have fun with this one-but alas I have some work to do before play.
Hope to get back to you sooner than later on this one.
